vridha was currently getting dressed in the room , thinking about how after today everything was going to change , she won't be vridha malhotra anymore and today as her last name changes , her responsibilities and relationships with people around her would change too
she will be someone's wife , someone's bhabhi and mostly the first daughter in law of the rajputs and soon to be queen , she was nervous but wasn't this the actual reason they planned this contract thingy? she would gain her profits and he will gain his crown but something in her heart told her this is not it
there was a knock on the door , abhimaan's mother with ritika and choti maa entered the room "nazar na lage meri beti ko" pressing the knuckles on the side of her head she said , "ha bhabhi you're looking very pretty"
"aaj mujhe ek bahu nahi beti mil rahi hae , jaanti hu abhimaan ekdum perfect nahi hae par agar kabhi bhi voh tumhe pareshaan kare na toh mujhe bata dena , humare ghar ki laxmi ho tum beta tumhari aankhon mae aasu na aaye esi hi kushoish karungi humesha" (today i will earn a daughter instead of daughter in law , ik abhimaan is not perfect if ever makes you worried you can always come to me , youre our laxmi (the goddess of money) i will never let a tear fall of your eyes)
all these words made her emotional as she hugged her mother in law "i really don't know what to say , par thank you maa i really hit the best mother in law jackpot"
"mujhe bohot left out feel ho raha hae" as ritika joined the hug too making everyone chuckle , vridha knew no matter what abhimaan and vridha were going to have in the future , she will always be grateful to all these people who never made her feel unwelcome
there was another knock on the door and there entered dadu and dadi with abhimaan's father touching their feet , abhimaan's father embraced her in a hug "bohot sundar lag rahi hae meri laado" (you look very pretty my child)
"sabb itni tareef karenge toh mae ro dungi abh"
soon it was time for the bride's entry as everyone left vridha so she could get her final touchups done , the lehenga she wore was designed by one of the most brilliant fashion designers in the world with detailed handwork karigari
she looked divine as the traditional heirloom jewels just added in to her beauty , she was ready to live her khwaab no matter how short it was going to last
abhimaan's pov
the doors opened and there she was , the girl i loved forever.
she was walking towards me , she was going to marry me SHE WAS MY BRIDE , i couldn't believe this beautiful woman right here would ever be my wife , i couldn't believe that the girl who ruined me was finally going to be mine , only mine to ruin
she looked divine as if god himself had sculptured her , everyone in the room blurred down as i only got my eyes on her
her eyes caught mine and she gave me a smile , i could feel tears in my eyes as i couldn't believe this day was finally here , forwarding my hand for her "dekhlo abhi thaam liya toh kabhi chorne nahi dunga" (once you hold my hand i will never let you leave it) my words made her chuckle as she gently placed her hand in mine
"aur agar kabhi chora bhi toh mae kaan khich kar phir le aaungi apne paas" (and if you ever leave i will pull you by your ear and bring you back to me)
pyaar , mohabat , aashiqi ye sabh toh voh kuch shabdh the jinka mujhse koi lena dena hi nahi tha , par phir vridha se mulakat huvi aur abh mujhe in mohtarma se pyaar nahi sidha beintaha ishq ho gaya hae , phasa diya isne mujhe phirse.
vridha's pov
i meant it , all the words i said i really meant it.
i don't care about this contract i am not leaving this man , not even when pigs start flying and that is final abhimaan singh rajput , the man who is holding my hand currently will always be mine and agar kisine ye haath mujhse zabardasti chudhvaya toh uski ek ek ungli kaat kar usse khila dungi mae
as the wedding rituals got over it was finally time for kanya daan where the father gives his daughter's hand to the groom which signifies as his official blessing for the marriage
after the whole hospital thingy my family wasn't seen anywhere and i was honestly glad cause i would never let such people get the honor to do something this meaningful , they didn't deserve it.
i was still worried as i wanted to ask the pandit ji to skip this part "hum ye nahi- "
before i could continue dadu stepped up saying "mae karunga vridha ka kanyadaan" his words made me feel things i couldn't describe it felt like every second with this family healed something in me that they never broke
"thank you" i murmured only to earn a death glare from him , he had always supported me through my ups and downs and honestly i was more than happy to give him this opportunity.
he placed my hand on abhimaan's as pandit ji chanted some words as the kanyadaan ritual ended "i hope you will not disappoint me" he patted abhimaan's back and went back to his seat
"now the groom will apply sindoor on the bride's forehead" taking some sindoor in his hand abhimaan looked at me in the eyes , the same orbs that had been running in my head since years
"batao vridha , laga du?" this feeling in the air was something i couldn't describe "agar tum humesha saath rahoge toh hi"the words had barely left my mouth and i could feel the sindoor on my forehead as a little bit dropped on my nose too "humesha" kissing my forehead slightly he tied the mangalsutra around my neck and he was officially my husband.
it felt weird but i was happy , the smile had never left my face and after years i finally felt like home , i finally found my home in him.

vridha had planned something for the vidaai and she couldn't contain her excitement , walking towards the car she sat in the drivers seat as abhimaan was kept busy inside by reyansh
she started playing "aaja meri gaadi mae beth ja" as abhimaan came out of the door making everyone laugh at this silly thing
aaja meri gaadi mae beth ja
aaja meri gaadi mae beth ja
aaja meri gaadi mae beth ja
she sang along the lyrics as abhimaan just looked at her in awe "nahi bethunga toh?" he asked "esa koi option diya nahi hae mene , betho chup chap"
driving away from the venue hand in hand they both decided it was best to go with the flow.
